One of a kind original artwork. Hand-felted wall hanging created by the dry-felting method called needle felting. This involves repeatedly jabbing a sharp, barbed needle into wool roving (unspun wool) until it mats together and becomes felt. I use a technique I call “painting with wool” which involves layering the wool to mix colors and achieve different textures. "Sky and Water 1" utilizes mostly merino wool in beautiful shades of blue, purple, lavender, yellow, black and white. It has a blue felt backing and measures 8½ X 9¼ X ¼," not including the 1¼" felt hanging tabs. Comes with Hudson River driftwood inserted in the tabs for hanging.
